Jojo and Pepper
*Note- This story is entirely fiction. Most of my Norns (like everyone else's) are wall bonking morons.

Jojo and Pepper were the best of friends. They would share balls, cheese, potatoes and flowers. Together they explored all of Albia. They met new friends, but still they stayed buddies.  One day they were playing by the ocean and their favorite blue ball fell into the dark sea. “Uh oh!” said Pepper “We better go in after it!” “I don’t know, Pep. That’s the ocean with no sand, only glass! And Borland the SEA MONSTER lives behind that rock!” Replied Jojo. She was always the cautious one. “Don’t worry!” said Pepper; “I’ll just be a second. How hard can swimming be?” “But Pepper, mommy will get us a new ball!” said Jojo. But she knew she couldn’t stop her friend.  Pepper dove in. Jojo watched nervously. When she didn’t come up, Jojo cried, “Jojo come Norn!” and jumped in.  As she dropped to the bottom, she saw Pepper.  The little Norn was curled up next to the ball, with stars around her head.  Jojo didn’t know what the stars really meant, but she knew they were bad. All of a sudden the hand appeared, and picked up Jojo. It deposited her on the beach and went back for Pepper.  The hand placed Pepper next to Jojo and reached for a syringe of defibrillant.  But before it could load the needle, Jojo heard a small moan.  Her best friend Pepper was dead.  Jojo cried, “Jojo why Norn?” and “Jojo hit mommy”. But the hand explained it had been tending to a newborn Norn who fainted very easily and had not noticed that Pepper was suffocating.  It rescued the ball and placed it next to Jojo, but she wouldn’t touch it. She just sat by the water, determined to stop other deaths.  If a Norn approached, she would warn “Norn stop cliffedge”, and the Norns always listened. She stayed next to the sea for her whole life.  If a young Norn came by, she would tell it the story of her friend. Eventually, Jojo died of old age. After her death, the hand injected a puffer fish to continue Jojo’s work.  But the older Norns still remember her, and always warn their children to stay away from the sea.
